Hey! My name is Avi.
I photograph people the way you get to know them: slowly, with real curiosity.
My portraits aren't about how someone looks. They're about who they are once they forget the camera is there. That takes time, real conversation, and actually caring about the answer, so that's where every shoot starts.
I'm based in New York City, studying at the International Center of Photography, and the city is where I learned to look. My street photography is about how people actually live in the places they live: the habits, the style, the quiet moments inside all the noise. Every city I travel to teaches me a new version of that.
And when I get the chance, I go further out. Landscapes, new countries, places I've never seen. I want to know what the world looks like firsthand, not secondhand.
